Privacy policy

How we look after the information you share with us through this website and our tools.

This policy explains how TaxTune Accountants collects and uses your personal data, and your rights under UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. It was last updated in June 2026.

Who we are

TaxTune Accountants is the data controller for the information you provide. You can reach us at 18 Meriden Grove, Bolton BL6 4RQ, by email at info@taxtuneaccountants.co.uk, or by phone on 07838 450050.

What we collect

When you use our contact form, our lead tools, our calculators or send us a document such as an HMRC letter, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, the answers you give in a tool, any figures you enter, and any file you choose to upload. We only collect what you choose to send us.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote or a review, to provide our accountancy services if you become a client, and to meet our legal and regulatory duties. We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

Our lawful basis

We rely on your consent when you ask us to contact you, and on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our practice. Where you become a client, we also process data to perform our contract with you and to comply with the law, including anti money laundering and tax rules.

How long we keep it

If you make an enquiry but do not become a client, we keep your details only as long as needed to deal with it and for a short period afterwards. For clients, we keep records for as long as the law requires, which for tax matters is generally at least 6 years.

Sharing and security

We use trusted services to host our website and send email, and reputable accounting software to deliver our work. We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and only share it where we are legally required to, for example with HMRC, or where it is necessary to deliver our service to you.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, please contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies needed to make it work and to keep it secure. If we add analytics or advertising in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
